Ok, lately organic is the new "in" trend. I have to admit, I've been a little skeptic about all this, but I finally came to the conclusion it's worth the money. The major reason why I kind of wrinkled my nose to organics was the high price of them all. I don't know about you, but I try to be careful with my money. Not thrifty, but I'll call it "careful". So, try to go to Whole Foods without breaking the bank! Good luck! I haven't been that lucky yet, let me know if you find out otherwise. Don't get me wrong, I loooove the store and am jealous of people that don't care about price tags, but... I can't afford a small box of chicken salad for $12.99!! Yuck!
I agree though: healthy food, grown organic and mainly LOCAL is the best thing. It keeps the local economy going while the money circulates within the community. I am happy because we joined a local organic co-op, where we're going to get our veggies and fruits from, from now on. I believe their membership is full at this time, as they only accept a certain number of people at a time. Their website is http://www.greenvillageorganics.com/ and you can sign up to be on their waiting list. If someone drops out you can take their place. That was our luck! Now they're opening a second location in North Naples so slowly it will take Naples by storm! Your vegetables and fruits all come from certified organic growers and when in growing season, they come mainly from local growers! I think that's awesome! Go check out their website for more information.
We're not turning fully organic, as it's still financially hard for us, but at least our fruits and vegetables are going to be as organic as it gets.
