You know exactly what to get your best friends for their birthdays. You know whether they love shoes, monogrammed stuff, cupcakes, hockey paraphernalia, gym clothes, kitchen stuff or gourmet items... you just know them well enough to get them exactly what they love on their special day. So, I armed myself with Grace and Shelly's Cupcakes, baloons and a cute little gift and I went to visit my best friend Nadia last Sunday for her birthday.
Nadia and I have been friends for four years and we've been through a million things together: good and bad. Thankfully, we each took turns on picking the other one up when things got bad for either one. She is one of the funniest, smartest, wittest, most caring and nurturing, hospitable people I know... Her little family have taken me in and accepted me as auntie and as best friend for a long time. I appreciate them and love them like they were my own blood.
So, I obviously couldn't miss going to see her on her birthday! Her and, I call him "our son", little Hamoudi (short for Mohammed). When you spend eight hours at work together like we did during her pregnancy with Hamoudi, that makes for more time spent at home with the family, which is why I could be the baby's "father" easily. Hehehe. Hence, I call him my "son". Hamoudi is a precious little boy that turns one next month and I love him soooooooo... His big eyes and cute widdle cheeks I could just munch on and munch on...
Of course, I took my camera to capture the day.

And my dessert was...Hamoudi.
It was a special day with very special people. Loved every second of it!
