There is no better time to visit DC than during the Cherry Blossom Festival. One of my favorite photographers lives in DC and I was always in awe of his engagement or wedding photos under the blooming cherry trees... That was the main reason why we visited DC when we did. Me and my camera were extra happy under the cherry blossoms. The whole city is blooming but especially the Tidal Basin, by the Jefferson Memorial...

Time for some updated portraits

The White House...especially beautiful this time of year...

...because it's surrounded by this...

The Jefferson Memorial

FDR Memorial

Thanks, dear strangers, for making great models...

An interesting broadcast...

The Memorial is full of quotes like this...

Vietnam Memorial...hard seeing all the names of the fallen...

The Capitol building during the day

The Washington Monument during sunset...

My favorite, most peaceful spots I've ever been to is Arlington Cemetery. It spreads on 624 acres, where veterans and military casualties from each of the nation's wars are interred, ranging from the American Civil War to the military actions in Afghanistan and Iraq. It's a truly impressive place where it is an honor to walk around to remember and never forget.

The white against the stark green make a simple but powerful contrast...

And then, there's color

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier...

JFK is buried in this beautiful resting place...

Remember...

...and still, there is life.

Much love.
