It's been two months since application and I received a notice that the Immigration Department is ready to process a card for my work permit. They're saying I should be getting it in the mail within the next 30 days! That is better news than...I don't know...the invention of Facebook??? Since, I'm such an addicted "Crack-booker" now... I should be able to work finally!

- your husband/wife, of course.
- the interview notice and a government issued ID
- a completed medical examination (I-693) in sealed envelope (unless already submitted)
- a completed Affidavit of Support (I-864) with all required evidence, including: Federal income Tax returns and W-2's; letters from each employer, verifying current income; evidence of sponsor's US Citizenship or lawful Permanent Resident status.
- all documentation establishing eligibility for Lawful Permanent resident status.
- every immigration-related documentation ever issued, including any Employment Authorization Document and any Authorization for Advance Parole.
- all travel documents used to enter the US, including Passports, Advance Parole documents, and I-94's.
- birth certificate
- the petitioner's birth certificate and evidence of US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident status.
- if you have children, birth certificates for each child.
- if eligibility based on marriage, bring: a certified copy of your Marriage Document; the spouse's Birth Certificate or evidence of citizenship; all divorce decrees, if either one of the couple has ever been married before; Birth Certificates of all children of this marriage.
- supporting evidence of relationship, such as: copies of any documentation regarding joint assets or liabilities (tax returns, bank statements, insurance documents, property documents, rental agreements, utility bills, credit cards, contracts, photos etc.)
- original and copy of each supporting document submitted with the application.
- a certified English translation for each foreign language document.
I wish you good luck, as I wish for myself! I am excited about getting this thing done once and for all! I am nervous, but hopefully all will go well.
